Everything you need to know about non-emergency medical transportation with Tiger Transports.
About NEMT
Non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) is a licensed service that provides safe, reliable rides to and from medical appointments, procedures, and facilities — for patients who cannot drive themselves or use standard rideshare services. Unlike rideshare apps, NEMT drivers are trained to assist passengers with mobility challenges, medical equipment, and special needs.
Tiger Transports is a licensed NEMT provider — not a rideshare app. Our drivers are trained to assist passengers with wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility aids. We specialize in medical trips, understand HIPAA privacy requirements, and provide door-to-door assistance. Rideshare drivers are not trained or equipped for medical transportation needs.
We handle a wide range of medical and health-related trips: dialysis appointments, doctor visits, outpatient surgery and anesthesia recovery, hospital discharges, skilled nursing facility transfers, and airport transportation. We also accommodate family events for patients who need assisted transportation.
Yes. All Tiger Transports drivers are thoroughly background-checked, trained in passenger assistance, and experienced with medical transportation requirements. Your safety and comfort are our top priority on every trip.
Insurance & Payment
Many insurance plans — including Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, and some private plans — cover NEMT rides when medically necessary. Coverage varies by plan and state. We recommend contacting your insurance provider directly to confirm your benefits. We can provide documentation to support your claim if needed.
We accept cash, credit and debit cards, and insurance-covered billing where applicable. Contact us at 602-499-2975 to discuss payment options for your specific situation.
